Too much power consumption.

Power is getting more and more expensive so it should be a concern to you.
More than likely it is already.
The right principle when it’s time to buy equipment is to check which is its operating cost (besides the cost of the machine itself)
One of the main tricks or “almost the true” of most machinery manufacturer selling PET washing line, for example, is to declare the power consumption of the line counting all electrical motors.
What nobody tells is a nuance that is the fact you should provide for a steam boiler with capacities ranging from 300.000 to 800.000, according to the system capacity, Kcalories.
Converted is kW this “nuance” is 350 kW for the 300.000 Kcalories and 930 kW for the 800.000.
A small detail ?  May be so.
You better go in details with your supplier before buying anything because surprises are always around the corner.  And not small ones.
Another big power eater is final drying before pelletizing or extrusion.
Fluid bed, hot air system, doesn’t matter what, do need a lot of power to perform the way they should.
All these systems have a really low efficiency because you will end up blowing a lot of hot (and humid) air in the opening to get the few % of moisture left by the your centrifuge dryer.
Now, if the few % left is a one digit number you can survive with this but when it goes to two, the story is very different and expensive.
What most of everybody does is to increase the power of the heating system, or blow more gas into it, make a longer conduit to increase residence time of flakes into the system or palliative methods like these.
What about getting a better centrifuge that can deliver a lot dryer flake so you should use very little power and save money ?
Again, this centrifuge may cost three times more but it make you save a pretty large amount of money by the minute and there are 1440 minutes every single day.
