Plastic recycling machinery prices.

With statistics of visitors I saw quite many looking for prices.
Let me start with this: A Mercedes Benz costs XYZ and a Great Wall car HWK.
It just depends by what you are looking for.
As far as plastic recycling machinery the situation is about the same.
For example a PET washing line for 1 ton/hour can go from 100.000 to 2 million dollars or more.
Of course, do not expect much when you are in the low range since quality of final product will never be that great. (and I even doubt about guaranteed capacity)
And, in any case, be aware that besides machinery, you will need a pretty big size steam generator that eats a lot of power, a water filtration, at least, if not a water treatment unit.
So, when you buy a system, be positive you get all you need to push the button and run.
Just be aware a PET washing line needs to be complete with the following sections:
- De-baling
- Sorting (manual or automatic)
- Pre-washing, needed only if bottles are coming very dirty (like in most cases)
- Granulation (better if wet)
- Dewatering
- Labels separation
- Dosing
- Floatable separation
- Hot caustic washing
- Dewatering
- Further floatable separation
- Rinsing
- Drying
Of course, there are many ways to do all this.
For example, dewatering after caustic washing can be done with a screw conveyor with perforated bed or with a centrifuge.
The last one costs 5 times more and delivers flakes with less than 1% water (actually caustic solution) while with a dewatering screw conveyor a good 30% remains.
Why to spend 5 times more ?
Because with a centrifuge 99% of caustic solution comes back to the system so rinsing and water neutralization will not be big deal while with 30%  you make your calculations about cost of caustic, cost of rinsing and what you need for water neutralization.
May be too technical for an administrator but all this to tell you what happens most of the times:
You buy a cheap line to find out the operating costs are more than the selling price.
The same apply with film washing lines.
Here only one example to better clarify the concept.
There are only two known ways to cut PE film scraps:
Shredders or granulators.
Which is the difference ?
A shredder is a machine with a slow rotating rotor with multiple blades.
Because of this, wearing of blades is  a lot less, if something hard goes inside almost nothing happens, doesn't make any noise and all these good things.
A granulator instead has fast rotating blades, if something hard goes into you will be down for a week or so, it's pretty noisy, etc.
As far as price, a shredder cost, at least, twice as much if not three times but with a shredder at the beginning of the line, make it to work with a steady capacity for weeks.
The granulator will be a piece of the line anyway because material needs to be downsized but receiving pre-cut material that went into a pre-washing system of some kind and floatation, the granulator will make a very good job, in a safe way.
So, how much a line cost depends only by you, together with the fact you can make or lose money.
Your personal choice.
