Solid State Polycondensation
-
-
- This
is the name everybody knows.
-
- We
do in a little different way to save investment and operating
costs and here is how:
-
- Instead
going all the way to pelletizing, meaning to melt the flakes
to pellets, cool them down and re-heat the bulk to get
the Polycondensation, we do the IV upgrade right in the melt
state so the system is a
-
- MELT
PHASE POLYCONDENSATION
-
- Better
than this, to get pellets with an IV value within ±
0,005, glycol is added first to get everything down to a value
of 0,25 and then the melt is upgraded to 0,85, or better, depending
on residence time and vacuum.
-
- The
system is continuous and all parameters (viscosity, temperature
and vacuum) automativcally controlled.
-
- This
makes a lot of sense specially when talking about small production
rates.
