(of a millimeter)

this case slides can be set with a clearance up to 200 μ
and rotating screens (two or four in parallel) can handle 100
μ
screens.

are talking about self-cleaning screens, of course because all
systems are supposed to work around the clock and cannot be
stopped to replace filters.

- Filters
are installed in several points of the washing line and help
a lot to re-use water within the system quite many times before
going to water treatment.

- Another
category of mechanical filters, needed mainly when the size
of dirt to be removed goes under the micron (we are talking
about the glue of PET bottles and CD disks) we should go to
ultra-filtration and nanofiltration.

the matter becomes tough.

here, choice should be done taking into consideration the investment
and the operating cost.
